Leighs Paints has a world class feel for intumescent coatings and is clearly recognised as being an innovator in passive fire protection coatings. Providing systems to suit both Cellulosic and Hydrocarbon scenarios, we have pioneered the use of intumescent coatings; especially for use in-shop where we work closely with fabricators.

Closer examination of the Firetex range shows both solvent and water based systems offering up to 2 hours fire protection to internal and externally exposed structural steelwork.

We also understand the need to offer expert advice, so we formed our Fire Engineering and Estimation Team which is led by qualified structural engineers.

The team is available at any time from initial concept through design, to sign off at the construction site. Equipped with CAD facilities they can prepare an individual client schedule that lists the material to use, the thickness of paint to be applied and an estimate of the overall paint quantity required. We take the strain away from you and help to ease your project pressures.
