A Bolton based paint manufacturer have recently been short-listed for the prestigious European Supply Chain Excellence Awards. Leighs Paints were short listed for the award because of the modernisation of the supply chain process. The awards hosted by Supply Chain Standard magazine, are intended to seek out and recognise excellence in Supply Chain. There were a number categories depending on the type of organisation and an overall winner. Leighs Paints were short-listed in the Aerospace, Defence & Industrial category. The nomination reflects the progress made by Leighs Paints in the modernisation of their supply chain, in particular the supplier charter process, which involves building strong partnerships with key suppliers. This process, started at the beginning of the year, has already made significant progress.
