Accommodating all the services required into a bespoke plated steel beam solution. Plate steel is manufactured, constructed and coated with intumescent coatings off-site. The resulting beams need no costly infills or stiffeners, keeping the costs down.
Cellular beams are particularly useful when designing long span sections, as fewer columns are required and therefore truly striking spaces can be created. Mainly used for primary and secondary floor beams and rafters they are frequently found in offices, hotels, car parks and many more structures.
Fabsec is the only company that can offer a range of web openings including rectangular and elongated openings. By offering a range of cellular beams shapes, from the standard circular to the more unusual rectangular shapes you can ensure that services (like air conditioning) can be accommodated.
FBeam
By bringing together experts with a deep understanding of steelwork and fire engineering the resulting FBeam software allows specifiers to create bespoke solutions.
The free FBeam software has been designed to be as user friendly as possible, whilst giving steel designers the ability to produce the most efficient solution at the click of a button. FBeam can design composite and non-composite plain and cellular beams.
When designing FireBeams the software allows the steel designer to optimise fire engineering design, without the need to consult lengthy fire protection guidance.
FireBeam
Available in 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute fire protection, the Fabsec FireBeam can meet any specification. Through the use of Leighs Paints intumescent coatings the web openings can be become an architectural feature if required, or used to hide services in the roof space without adding height to a building.
FireBeams have been exhaustively tested to provide accurate loadings for cellular beams, so that the loadings in the FBeam software will provide the right fire protection in practice.
